Western Midget Racing (WMR) is a midget race car racing organization serving the Western United States that’s designed to be an affordable local and regional level alternative to the much more expensive national level midget racing.

Our primary focus is the engine costs but we also are being careful about tires and entry costs for the racers. The engine platforms are stock production 2.4 liter inline four cylinder passenger car engines with only specific modifications allowed that facilitate the installation into midget chassis. The cars use a WMR specified electronic fuel injection system programed to run on methanol fuel.

WMR races at Adobe Mountain Speedway in Glendale, Arizona, Antioch Speedway in Antioch, California, Bakersfield Speedway in Bakersfield, California, Marysville Raceway Park in Marysville, California, Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, California, Petaluma Speedway in Petaluma, California, and Ventura Raceway in Ventura, California.
